What is SOS Infrared heating?
SOS Infrared uses far infrared heating film installed directly onto ceilings to gently radiate warmth throughout a room. Unlike traditional convection systems that heat air (which then escapes), this system heats people and objects directly, just like sunshine on your skin.
It’s an invisible, space-saving solution that provides uniform, comfortable warmth with no moving parts, no annual maintenance, and a 15-year warranty. Controlled by thermostats or a smart app, this system delivers complete temperature control by room, with fast warm-up times of just 1–3 minutes per zone.
What is the SOS Infrared ceiling paper?
At the heart of this solution is our ultra-thin infrared ceiling paper, a unique, fire-rated and water-resistant material that transforms ceilings into efficient, safe, and invisible heat sources.
The paper is a fraction of a millimetre thick, with hidden electrical connectors.
It’s wired into a 24V ultra-low voltage power supply for maximum safety.
Once installed and painted over, it becomes completely invisible but delivers powerful, even warmth across the room.
Each room is custom surveyed, and the heating paper is cut to size on-site, allowing for perfect coverage, even in rooms with irregular shapes, light fittings, or Artex ceilings. It’s robust enough to handle holes for installations without affecting performance.
